Pictures of my dad

Happy Birthday Dad!

Francis Bernard Seidel, Jr.
October 31,1937- June 3,2005

My dad would have been 70 today! WOW, that just seems crazy to me. I have old parents. I think he was born on Halloween because that was the only he would remember his birthday. He was always so horrible with birthdays and anniversary's. I remember he would come home for lunch and my mom would say " well today's is our wedding anniversary Frank, Happy Anniversary!" My dad would say "IT IS, well I'll be!" Tooooooo Funny. It was always the same with her birthday and anyone else's birthday for that matter. Gotta love him......

The picture above is of my Grandfather and my Dad, for a time they worked for the same company.

I have more pictures that I wish I had time to share, I hope you enjoy what I have!
My dad was such a great man. He would do anything for anyone, he had such a giving and caring heart. He was always doing something for someone, even complete strangers, if they needed help of any kind he was there. As some would say......."THEY JUST DON'T MAKE EM' LIKE MY DAD ANYMORE!!"

mmmmm pen

Ammon is trying really hard to sit up now, but this is the best he can do. He just cannot get his arm to cooperate.

This video may be boring to all of you, but I thought it was cute.

He couldn't go to sleep since I went in his room taking pictures and videos, so I brought him into the office where I was. I sat down at the desk for two seconds and he grabbed the nearest thing to him, A PEN! The pen went straight into his mouth, but not before writing on himself:) This kid is into everything already, he is a handful.

He thinks he is just soooooooo funny!

This, That and the Other

This morning when I went for a walk it was still chilly outside, so I bundled Ammon up in a red jumper. He looked so cute. I had to take a picture because it reminded me of Ralphy's little brother from "A Christmas Story". ha ha ha!!!!!! #######################################################

Ammon is always wanting my water bottle or whatever I am drinking. The doctor told me at this point if I needed to give Ammon anything to drink, DO NOT give it to him in a bottle, use a sippy cup. It would just be CRAZY to give him a bottle at this point because in 6 mnths I
will just have to wean him from it. I was excited to get him a sippy cup so now he can have his own cup. He doesn't need juice or water yet, but the doctor said I could let him start getting familiar with a cup. From the second I gave it to him he loved it, now he won't need mine to slobber on.

Ammon Playing on the floor while I am on the computer.... just adorable! _______________________________________________________

Wednesday I had a dentist appointment, last one for a while I hope. I left Ammon with someone for the first time. It was so sad, but we BOTH did really good. I had already cancelled my dentist appointment three times because I didn't have or want to leave Ammon with anyone. I couldn't cancel again, luckily Saydonica a good friend of mine lives close to the dentist's office. I called her up and she was more than happy to help me out, even with her busy schedule. Thanks Say!

"shouldn't you be sleeping!?!"

This is Ammon at Nap Time, he thinks he is soooo funny when he does this. He just talks and squeals up a storm until we go in there. He caught us spying on him this time, so we snapped a few shots. It is cute when he does this, but I have to be strong and not get him out to play. Nap time should not be this much fun!
It's crazy how he is just so cranky and fussy like he needs a nap, so we put him down and he just plays. He just needs some alone time I guess. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I met Krystal, Ethan and Hope for lunch on Tuesday. We ate at Panera Bread, one of my favorites place to eat! A Bacon Turkey Bravo and French Onion Soup........mmmmmmmm!!!

I love hangin' out with other mommy's.. FUN FUN

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Ammon sitting in his high chair for the first time, my big boy! It is so crazy, it seems just like yesterday we brought him home for the hospital. He is so amazing! I love being a mom:)

a taste of Ammon's 6 mnth pics

Tadaaaaa!!!!! This is our cute little guy who did sooooo well, thank goodness. We went to Portrait Innovations. Several people have told us about how they do such a great job, and it is even affordable. They sent home a CD of the 130 pic that we took, WOW!!!! So I hope you don't get bored looking at all these adorable pictures. Did I mention no sitting fee, even if you bring your whole family.... 10.. 20..30.. people. My favorite is that you walk out the door with your pictures in hand, yeap, hot off the press!!!!!! :) The one with him at our feet, we got a 10x13 in black and white, we love love love it! It was free with our pkg:)

Ammon does not stand up very well on his own yet, even when leaning on something. He kept trying to get up on the block, it was so funny. I put one picture of it to show you. He also loved that little "Red Rider". It was hard to get pictures of him with it because he would NOT let go of the handle. It was Funny to see him so excited about a toy!

!!Green Beans!!

Yesterday Ammon had His 6 month checkup. He weighed 17lbs 13oz., He is 28 1/4 in. long, what a big boy. His weight is in the 60th percentile and his height in the 96th percentile. He is my tall little man. I hope he will be tall with a larger build like my side of the family. He got 5 mean shots:( so sad for both of us! Anyways.......Ammon is now allowed to have baby food. He has eaten cereal before, but has never had anything else. Last night he ate GREEN BEANS for the first time...YUMMY!!!!! or not....... ps. I had Jason set up Ammons high chair so that we would not have to feed him in his " tower of power", that is what I call it, bouncer, or his stroller. Yes I have used them all. I guess we were just to lazy to bring in the high chair from the garage, or the house is so small it is just something else to have in the way.. who knows..

Not liking it to much...............

Happy 1/2 Birthday Ammon

Look how "ity freakin' bitty" he was......
I always forget to take pictures on the most important days... like today, Ammon is 6 mths old. I didn't even realize it until tonight after I had already put Ammon down that I didn't take any pictures. Ironiclly, we spent a good part of the day at Grapevine Mills mall looking for jeans for his 6 mnth pictures that we are having done on Tuesday. I guess I am a horrible mommy because I made Jason go and get him out of bed so I could have a few pics. He was so happy to get up even though when I put him down he was soooooo tired. Our day was CRAZY busy so I guess that is why I did not get any snap shots.... darn!!! Out of bed and thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!

Graham Sleep-over

We went to Graham this weekend to watch conference and it was nice to get away from the normal routine. It was a reminder how difficult it can be to travel with a baby. Wow, I SO over pack, it is really annoying to Jason. He has gotten used to it tho' and no longer says anything about it, I guess it's just easier for him to load the whole house into the car than to listen to me whine. Ironically over-packing drives ME crazy also, but there is nothing worse than to be away from home and not have something you need. Bringing way to many clothes is my biggest problem. I worry that I may need something nice to wear, or something comfortable to wear or something casual or......I could go on forever. You never know what could happen?! Like what if I get dirty? I always manage to get something on me, either I sit in something, rub up against something dirty....my clothes always find a way to make contact! Eating is always a real trick because I am just like my mom, she ALWAYS spills food on her no matter how hard she tries not to, it's kind-of funny. But yeah, I do the same thing. Like today, I was at the Graham Branch and in-between the two sessions they had a Pot Luck. I was standing in line to get my plate (no food yet) and I look down and my chest was wet?! Now I have no idea how it happened....but I do know what it wasn't - this breastfeeding mom was NOT leaking thru her shirt! But I am sure people thought I was because nobody said anything to me. I just crossed my arms for a while and resigned myself to the fact that everybody probably assumed my boobs were leaking!

Anyway, enough of publishing my insecurities!! It's always nice to see my mom and friends....and Ammon had a first.......he sat in his first high-chair at a restaurant! Just like a big boy!

******************************************

This morning he was so cute sitting in his bouncer watching his video. Usually he sits way back and props his feet up and enjoys the show, but today he was sitting up and holding the rail like he was riding the Texas Giant at Six Flags!!

We took a few pictures this afternoon before we left Uncle James & Aunt Lori's house.....I wanted to share because Ammon was really happy! He was just smiling so big!! There is also one picture from a few days ago at Wal-Mart, it was the first time he sat in the cart!

Thanks for letting us stay at your house James & Lori......we didn't eat ALL the Slim Jims and we did the dishes!!
